A Halekulani Kind of Celebration

Sandra and Min flew in from California for their big day, although Min as it turns out is a local boy from Oahu. We actually started out his getting ready in a beautiful home near Diamond Head that his mom use to clean during his childhood. When the owner of the home (now a close family friend) heard he was getting married, she insisted they use the house to keep him separated from his beautiful bride.

For the remainder of the day, we photographed at Halekulani where Sandra got ready with her bridesmaids. Halekulani is definitely one of our favorite hotels to film/photograph at, as the rooms that look out over the ocean are extremely well lit and spacious. The Hau Terrace makes for a wonderful location for ceremonies, group photos, and setting up photo booths. The only downside to Hau Terrace is it can only be booked until 10pm, and has limited space (no room for DJ's).

This was a great group to photograph. Although Sandra and her bridesmaids seem conservative, they were open to doing some fun posing with the guys. When I suggested some silly street fighter and star wars shots, they didn't hesitate!

Sandra and Min, thank you for choosing us as your photographers and photobooth vendor on your big day! It was wonderful getting to know you all... although difficult not let your adorable flower girl steal the show! Congrats again, and come back to Hawaii soon!
